The Laramie Old Time Ranch Tour is an annual event which takes place in mid-July. It is a fun time for the entire family as we tour ranches and listen to stories of the way things use to be.
The Ranch Tour is produced and hosted by the Laramie Kiwanis Club. It creates an image and feeling of a rancher's historic lifestyle from the early frontier days of cowboys, ranchers, community, and family. There is no feeling like standing in the country and listening to a native tell you about things they experienced in that very spot over a half a century ago.
You will need to bring your own food for the lunch activity as we listen to stories of the early days and share our own thoughts and feelings with others. This activity will take most of the day, allowing you to enjoy a great view of Wyoming and the outdoors! You are encouraged to bring a camera so you can take a piece of history home with you. The 54th Old Time Ranch Tour visited four ranches. These included the Monolith ranch (Flag Ranch), the Sand Creek ranch (Goetz Ranch), The Wooden Shoe ranch (Nicholas Lundquist), and The Chimney Rock ranch (Fred Collins).
